Composition Checklists
Here are the checklists to make sure that you have everything that is needed to complete your composition. Remember that a photocopy of the composition is the last week in February (next week) and it needs to be done neat enough for a stranger to be able to play it.
Small things to remember:
- Treble Clef & Bass Clef signs at the first bar of each line
- Time Signature on the first line of each page
- Bar lines join the Treble & Bass Clefs together
- A Brace joins the Treble & Bass Clef together at the beginning of EACH line
- Key Signature is in between the clef and time signature
- Key Signature is at the beginning of EVERY line
- Make sure to have double bar lines for the end of the song
- If using a great big whole note on the bass clef, make sure that it lines up with the FIRST note on the treble clef

Do I have a stop sign at the end of the song?
Do I have the dynamics written? (p, f, etc)
Did I fill in the bottom lines (names, etc)?
