Yesterday we had our Spring Recitals at the Riverside United Church and the kids absolutely rocked it! Instead of having one big recital we broke it into 2 smaller ones in which each student performed one song on the piano and then they did a group rhythm ensemble.
These kids have come so far this year - some not ever playing before and suddenly they're playing in front of a large crowd and others showing how much more they've learned this past year. It was great seeing how each child would hear their name and confidently come up to play their song - I was so proud of each one of them. You could tell that there was a lot of practice behind each song and even if a stumble occurred it didn't shake them and they kept on going - WOW!!! There are many adults who couldn't do that!
So congratulations to all 48 of my amazing MYC students!!!
I'm very proud of each one of you and you should be too!!!
