Every year Music for Young Children has a Composition Festival in which every MYC student is able to think out of the box and compose their own piece of music. This composition is then sent to Head Office and each one is listened to and for those that choose, the composition will be judged as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Honorable Mention.The really cool thing is that every student who sends in a composition will receive a HUGE sticker from Head Office (about the size of a postcard). This is a fun reward for all the hard work that each student does.
In past years there has been a wonderful artist who has designed the stickers, but the last couple of years MYC has opened it up to the students to design the sticker. In fact, if you look at this year's Student Activity Book you will see last year's winning design!
If you are interested in entering this contest you can download the template here . The deadline is November 22, 2008. If you give me the finished product then I can send it to Head Office by the deadline.
