The Beginning of Sunrise

So, this morning was the first Sunrise class - and there really isn't any better way to start the day than doing music with a group of 2/3 year olds! We all met my special bear and were able to give it handshakes and hugs in our "Welcome Everyone" song. Not only did we get to sing London Bridges but we got to play our brand new claves while singing it - how cool is that!

We were practicing our "Walking Teddy" (or some of you might know it as a hop or a ta or even a quarter note) and our homework for this week is to color our special walking teddy. We also made a beautifully decorated star wand so that when we sing "Twinkle, Twinkle" we can go up high and down low with it.

The nice thing is that we all received our very own CD of all the music so that we can listen to it at home and learn all the words - oh - and we each were given our very own "Buddy Croak" - the saxophone leader of the Sunrise band

If you have a little one that might be interested in joining the class, we have just started so there still is time to jump in. We meet on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am - 10:15am and if you have more than one child, that's not a problem. This program works really great for ages 2,3 and even 4 year olds that enjoy music and you'd like them to get a bit of a head-start right now.
